Rob Brouwers has been in the plumbing industry since 1977 and has worked in all areas of plumbing and drainage, having started in the family business.
In 1990, Rob established Rob Brouwers Plumbing Services specialising in general plumbing and maintenance and contracted to work on new homes, commercial properties. Rob was instrumental in the implementation and construction of plumbing systems for these properties. It was during this time that Rob discovered that there was a requirement for a dedicated and skilled backflow prevention testing and certification plumber.
In 2003, Rob attained Backflow Prevention Device and Thermostatic Mixing Valve installation, testing and maintenance endorsement.
Rob has installed, tested and certified thousands of these devices throughout South East Queensland and continues to work hard at developing his experience and expertise in these areas. Today Rob is regarded as an authority in this arena.
As a member of and Vice President for the Master Plumbers Association of QLD (MPAQ) and as a founding member and the Vice President of the Backflow Prevention Association (BPAQ), Rob has been involved in writing the processes and procedures for testing Backflow Prevention Devices for the Australian Standards Committee.
